Any takers? actually all this talk has been making me want to play guild wars a little more as well... and especially if i started a new character... but i don't know if i can find the time between Everquest 2 sessions which already has had horses for 4 years.

I dont think a horse would bring be back to GW. If they let you jump over a rock or something to avoid the scripted, linear missions I might try it out again, but I got tired of the mission, save-point, new mission, new save point gameplay. That's more fun in a game like Splinter Cell where you have some freedom to try to complete the mission in more ways than just hacking through all the monsters.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what a horse would add to Guild Wars, the "save points" and instanced areas just don't seem to have a need for travelling long distances on a horse. But, the new attack possibilities would be kind of cool.
I thinking of the classic cowboy move where they lean over the side of the horse for cover and shoot the pistol from under the neck. WOOOOO!

So, let's just all start new charcters and play through the game together? Agreed? That's what i thought, see you in game! And we'll plan who is going to get what character so we are actually a good team instead of 10 paladins running around together

well, since we won't have access to the new characters, I would probably be most interested in an Elementalist character. I've played that class the least.

Haven't ordered factions, and I don't know if I will. So I'll sit this one out, fellas.

Um, I don't think any of us have Factions. Are we talking about getting a hold of Factions, or playing through the older game?
The only thing that really interests me about Factions is the Summoner character, and maybe checking out the new content and Alliance stuff. If I go back in the game, I'll likely leave our small guild and join up with the ULGG since a lot of content is targeted towards large Guilds.

Oh, I misunderinterpretated. I dunno if I'd be down with grinding through that game again... It's pretty but it lacks depth.

actually i just mentioned the factions class combo assasin/necro because i have already spent a $10 reward card on a best buy pre-order of factions... i doubt they will let me refund it so i will probably pick up the game... not to mention i have $15 more reward money i just got in the mail. if you guys don't have it don't worry about it... cause there are no other games i'd like to have besides new mario bros for my ds and i got like $40 buy.com rewards too... i'm swamped! i'd be down with joining a bigger guild too and even joining them for some gw pvp... having a kungfu guild is a nice thought, but we don't have the support to host our own css server and actually have it populated so why bother with the guild? just fyi though if i feel like playing eq2 instead of doing any of this then i will choose that... but since it is thursday night i always like to try something different one night a week....

very interesting. I am most likely going to buy this game as well, but I will not have it by tonight anyway. I do have a pre-order as well.
I don't see this as a $50 game, so I'm hoping this will take a price drop sometime soon.
