I just sniped this from the Guild Wars Home Page:

Quote
Character Slots Offered     20 April 2006
We are happy to announce that you will be able purchase additional character slots for your Guild Wars account beginning this summer for $9.99 U.S. (or equivalent). Each new slot will enable you to add a new character to your account with full access to all of the content your current characters enjoy. We'll have more details to share soon!

Very interesting.  Why aren't other games doing this as well?  This is an awesome idea, and I know a ton of gamers that will be dropping a bunch of cash on this.

EQ2 comes with 6 slots.  If you buy their station pass you get upgraded to 12, I believe.  So, there's already precident for this.

That said, I really wish I could get back into GW, but it's just so linear.  I feel more like I'm playing Golden Axe than a MMORPG.  (Not that their's anything wrong with golden axe Smiley).

Yeah, I'm with you Monkey.  I can't seem to get motivated to get back into this game either...  and I was with it from the beginning!!!

I'm about ready for us all to come to a decision which MMORPG we're gonna play, and maybe it'll have to be the next iteration out since we have a WC3 vs. EQ2 chasm now...

I would totally play WoW if everyone was playing it.  And by everyone I mean 1 or 3 more ppl than Kenmania.  Also EQ2 happens to be the greatest game... ever.  So that also subtracts from the happy fun mouse of teh other gamez.  we're EZ/#@$*&^%$&

Yeah, Guild Wars was a blast, but i haven't logged on in i don't even know how long.  It is much more enjoyable to play source or WC3 right now.  Maybe one day it will make a come back, or we will all be interested in the same thing for once, but for now, source and bnet here i come.

PS-Anyobdy feel an urge to relive some Diablo II days?  Just recently thought about it, let me know.
