According to Midway Gauntlet Seven sorrows will be arriving soon for your xbox or ps2.  The real story is that it will be available for Xbox since the console is lacking any online rpg draw.  It is said to retain the classic coop elements of the franchise, but obviously the new version will bump up the graphics about 50 gazillion notches and they will keenly offer online coop play.  I don't have any other info right now on the quantity of players per game, but hopefully they'll be smart and not limit to 4...

thanks buddy... looks like a sweet game.  I'm gonna keep my eyes open for this one.

quote from the press release:

Quote
"Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows captures the nostalgia of the legendary franchise, and also delivers the darkest, most intense Gauntlet saga ever," said Matt Booty, senior vice president of product development, Midway. "Blending an intuitive combat system, accessible RPG elements, and new junction skills, Seven Sorrows features the dynamic co-op it's known for, and, for the first time ever, it is online supporting up to four players."

that'll teach me to try and read....

they really should get wise and make it at least 8...  could be a lot of fun.  but diablo 2 was always fun with 4 people so who knows...

Word... this will be a great addition to the xbox collection.  I've had my fill of FPS, Racing, and Sports titles.  A good rpg is what I've been wanting.

I tried Morrowind.  There is nothing more depressing than playing a single player RPG, the world just feels 'empty' without scrubs trying to bring up a trade window at inopportune times or /shouting LFG PST!!1!

yeah seriously... I have been craving an xbox rpg with xbox live coop play for a long while!  it is crazy with how successful rpgs are that they have taken so long to create one for xbox with online functionality...

*UPDATE

fyi, this game got awful reviews for being too short of a game.

Might want to check out X-Men Legends 2 instead.  I have it and can highly recommend it.  Its like better than diablo 2 cause I get to fly around as Magneto.
