I think i posted in the wrong section earlier sorry about that. I got a few new pc games for christmas well i started to do what i normally do make a copy of the game and play from the copy so when the cds trashed i wont loose my game. I tried to make the copy twice and both times it reportd the error of the disk being written wrong. I even went to the extent of using the cd cleaner on the blank cds before i made the copy to ensure that the error wasn't from dirtty cds. I am using Imagination Cd's if you guy's have any suggestions please clue me in. This is the first time this has ever happend.

you can't copy most game cds now-a-days... they encrypt them for obvious reasons.  most games are just enforcing cd keys these days with no disc being needed to play the game.  what game are we talking about?  I'd just try it without the cd and see if that works... otherwise you can always crack the main exe by doing a simple search on the net, but be warned: some no-cd cracks have viruses or spyware built into them

I'd just not do it, because some companies can get big time warrants for their products, and legal action *will* be taken. Be sure to the EULA (end user licsence agreenment) or, the huge paragraph of nothing but typing, read that and see if you can get a back-up, but then don't use online if possible

-in the long run, don't
-warrrants means that the company will seize all games and porducts of thiers you have

>it's all up to you

*edit

It seems that EA games has recently raided a friends' house, and they have the right to find anything, and destroy it, if it is their's. remember that you don't own the game, you simply purchased a license to use it.
