for those of you who are super geeks and huge fans of old school, side scrolling Metroid: this game for Gameboy advance is so very very nice.  Even on the tiny GameBoy Advance screen you can tell how the graphics exceed Super Metroid and continue on the legacy of one of the most fun single player engines ever...  So for those of you interested, here is how you could potentially play that Gameboy Advance on a TV screen

1) Buy a Gameboy Advance SP ($69)

2) Buy a Nintendo Gamecube (for as cheap as possible . . . potentially $50 at the local flea mkt)

3) Buy a Gameboy Advance "Player" that connects both systems ($29)

now you can play on your TV and you have two nice systems . . .
I realize this would be a ridiculous notion for any "Modern" gamer, but I live and die by the classics.  Sf2/MK1 taught me how to play CS . . . so I owe the classics a lot....

Word buddy!  Metroid is one of the strongest games in console history.   On quiet days I can still hear that space music drifting through my mind.

Oh, and I learned my CS gaming from SuperContra...  Up Up Down Down L R L R Start ....

WOOO!!  Unlimited lives...  (wait, maybe that's why I rush into a firefight to my demise so frequently...  Sad
