Do a google search on Herzog Zwei. This is considered the first Real Time Strategy game ever. It was made for the Sega Genesis and even supports player versus player. I have been wanting to get this game for my Sega Nomad (handheld sega genesis) ever since I read about it on the jedimom forums. If I used the A/V out on the nomad I could play in the car with the band guys . . .
Console RTS games are very neglected . . . so when I see one I remember it.
WOOOOOO buddy, thanks for the classic gaming forum!

I'm trying to imagine the discomfort of playing an RTS game on a handheld in a van. Why not just get a power inverter and play some Xbox? :bash:

i have a power inverted, a tv, and an xbox in the SUV. I have a Nomad for retro purposes . . . the Xbox does not have any RTS games! I wish it did, but it does not. Now I can hook the Nomad's A/V cable to the TV and we can go old school for a while or when the others are using the power inverter the guy in the passenger seat up front can use the Nomad. Either way the retro genesis handheld has it's uses. Not to mention that you can't get Echo the Dolphin for the Xbox.

I bought it for my nomad cause our flaky singer wanted to play it. he told me when he was a kid he loved that game. he also mentioned that he had never made it past the first level. gg.

Boo! Hiss! Awful!
Yeah they're one of my favorite bands. Old school games like Herzog Zwei are just addictive. They are tough to replicate so you just have to keep going back over and over. A lot like that game EVO.
