so I brokedown and got this game 'Sins of a Solar Empire'

I've been craving some space conquest/sim city type of stuff to chew on.  I tried Sim City a few weeks back but it turns out I need more action these days.  Played through the tutorials last night in this game... it was interesting... and I liked right away how the planets were linked through linear paths so that I could kinda understand connections and travelling easier.  The game is fairly complex but nowhere near the complexity of Eve Online.... still in the same vein though so you get that feel of empty space you can conquer

I could be persuaded...  What are the system requirements like?  It would be cool if it were a laptop-runnable game.  (My laptop has a reasonably good video card)
