I've been running the 6800 Ultra for a while now and I've had to swap out my IS7's chipset fan now 3 times... great board, but if you get one just be ready to buy some fans from them since the ones they include aren't quality.  Any who...  if any of you guys get a 6800 card one thing to be VERY aware of is that running the Cool Bit tweaks on it is NOT a good idea.  I tried it and ended up with major stability issues.  After a bit of research I found some other reviews of people doing that and they actually managed to slag their cards in many cases.  So if you get one just trust in the fact that it's plenty fast enough without tweaking it!  Don't be stupid like I was.

On a good note it's a GREAT card, and plays anything I throw at it with ease.  Half Life 2 at high quality is running at 60fps and no lag.... 1024x768 with all the trimmings.  Quake 3 ... UT 2004...etc.  The card is more expensive, but in the case of video cards you usually get what you pay for.  This is the first expensive card I've ever purchased and based on the experience probably won't be the last, but I've always gotten what I can afford rather then just biting the bullet and doing it right.  Of course that's not always an option I know.

Hope this info is helpful to you guys thinking about tweaking your systems with a new card.

Thanks IceDragon.  Your advice and expertise are always welcome here.  Good luck on the 6800 Ultra card.  I'm going to be in the "buy what I can afford" category for quite a while.  But, I have to say I've been pretty pleased with the ATI Radeon 9800 pro.  I know my processor is holding me back a little bit -- Athlon 2800+, but overall I'm pleased.
