I have a 2.4 P4 w/ 512MB of Ram on Windows XP. I am running a GeForce 5200 FX (doh!) with 128 MB of memory. For a monitor I have a Cornea Systems 18' flatscreen LCS monitor. My videocard was a bad choice in retrospect. Unfortunately it lacks the quality of many other GeForces and actually runs slower than some of the older cards.

Windows XP Pro AMD Athlon (Barton core) 2800+ SOYO Dragon KT600 v 1.0 Plus 512 MB 400mhz RAM 160 GB IDE 7200 RPM Hard Drive ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb Samsung 17" Syncmaster Flat Screen Logitech Elite Keyboard (new, soft keys, lots of extra productivity buttons) Logitech MX 510 Optical Mouse Blue X-Trac Pro Mousepad Soft Plantronics Headphones (Just added some Altec Lansing 2.1 speakers, but can't play with them on most occasions)
*I'd like another 512mb RAM and eventually a new monitor. But, I can't really see myself buying another CRT. I'd rather just use this one till it dies, and think about a flat panel. Maybe the prices will be reasonable by then.
*Wooo... I'm a dork. All my pieces color coordinate now in black, silver, and blue except the monitor.

Welcome Super Hamster!
My goal for upgrade only includes another 512 block of DDR 400 and a bigger monitor. But, I think that 17" is going to have to hold me for a while. Curse all you 21" monitor fiends!

So it looks like I might be grabbing a GeForce 6800 or 6800 GT (depending on how much money I wanna blow). Here are the parts in question: GeForce 6800GeForce 6800 GTThe 6800 Ultra looks amazing, and it isn't touched by another card on the planet, but it's just way too pricey right now.

Just look up the model number at the manufacturer's website. Be it HP or Compaq, Dell or Gateway . . . there should be some info.
