monkey and I played some mame over saturday.  it was clutch to re-visit darkstalkers again.  I was checking out Ultimate MK too and that game is nice... even includes a random selection feature.  also enjoyed our CSS session elvis... I'm still pretty awful but at least it is more fun

it's impossible to remember all the moves in a game like Street Fighter Alpha 3 or Ultimate MK 3 so I have to use Gamfaqs.com while I play....

it makes me very happy to play these old school games.  there is still so much content in the old fighter games that i never got to see in their day at the arcade because I just couldn't cover them all and they were coming out with so many at a time...  if you just picked one version each of the main fighters and played a few rounds you could play for hours...  Darkstalkers, SF, MK, Samurai Showdown, the Capcom versus Marvel games, & ofcourse Killer Instinct!!

we found that SF Alpha 3 and Ultimate MK have random character selection features so that always adds to the spice of things...
