i've been fishing around alot in my game library... what do you guys think the best DM game is right now?  I have stated HL2:DM is kinda not the best for me even though it is good i feel it is lacking...  what about others?  FEAR?  DOOM 3 was awful....  others?  thoughts?  am I smack talking to my self!!!

I'm still a huge fan of Farcry, though I haven't played in a while.  Quake III was great in its day.  I never really got into the UT games.  Deathmatch games in general though aren't terribly interesting to me.

sometimes you want to just plug in and frag... without waiting for rounds to end and not having to be too accurate with your ultra-realistic weapon physics... far cry is good indeed but for me it is just too similar to bf2 and cs because the gun selection...  but i should install it again really.  i never was able to get it to run very well with my old setup.  there was a time that DM games were the only games and now they're all squad based... the market does funny things...  i like these games though so i'd be interested to find what the modern 2006-2007 equivalent is to Quake... didn't they make a quake4?  did it suck?
